PREMISE
a simple lowbrow humourous low-budget fastpaced shoot-em-up game where player size makes a difference, ie the smaller player is move manoeuverable as well harder for the smilies (enemies) to hit
the larger one is able to shoot more bullets, another factor in this game is lotsa bullets, at maximum size the player shoots 1000 bullets a second!

INFO
- blue objects increase your bullets power by 2 thus 1x -> 2x -> 4x -> 8x etc, so the secret is not to aim
at the smilies but like snooker you need work the angles to maximum effect
- red objects make bullets bad (perhaps other object types will be added eg bullet splitters)
- powerups , not much yet just a couple of placeholders but there are lots of possibilities eg side bullets, super bullets, homing bullets, faster bullets, health etc
- when in trouble the player can expend all his energy at once with the smartbomb key
- walk over blue disks to increase the players size energy, shooting them decreases there size but makes the bullets stronger
- moveable objects (to come eg crates, rocks), thus the player can setup there own bullet bounce combinations
- at the end of each day the onscreen smilies go into hibenation thus u can clean them up before the next waves appear

PROGRAMMING INFO
- total time taken so far, 85hours (including art, design etc)
- lots of memory leaks (which can be easily fixed)
- very unoptimized eg a lot of the methods are just brute force without finesse, most (all?) of the graphics are opengl immediate mode
- the engine supports glsl + cg
- graphically its not to advanced

TO COME
- different enironments eg bridges, pits with spikes in them so u can say, push the similes into them to destroy them
- movable objects (as mentioned) to bring a more strategic element to the game
- multiplayer
- much more varied smilies + animated ones as well eg :P ala raspberry which uses its tongue as a weapon
- other weapons!
the song was something i wrote in australia a couple of years ago
